Jennifer Rene Psaki

 Jennifer Rene Psaki, an American political advisor, served as the 34th White House Press Secretary from 2021 to 2022. As a member of the Democratic Party she has previously been a part of the Obama administration as White House deputy press secretary (2009), White House assistant communications director (2009–2011), the spokesperson of the Department of State(2013-2015) and White House communication director (2015–2017). Psaki was a CNN political contributor from 2017 through 2020. Psaki started her professional career with an Iowa Democratic senator, Tom Harkin, and later became governor of Iowa. Psaki was then appointed deputy press secretary to John Kerry's presidential campaign in 2004. Psaki was in office from 2005 until 2006 as the communications director for Joseph Crowley, U.S. representative, as well as the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was appointed press secretary for President Obama's 2012 election campaign. [20] Psaki was named spokesperson for the United States Department of State on February 11, 2013. [20] There was speculation that Psaki would replace Jay Carney, White House Press Secretary, in the Department of State.[21However, Josh Earnest replaced Carney on May 30 in 2014. She was appointed communications director at the White House and continued to perform this role until the end of the year in 2015.
